I swear I didn't forget the POWs

In the last few days the scandal of the murder of the Egyptian POWs in the six days war in 1967 at Alrish by the orders of the Israeli "Shaked" Battalion commander then and the current minister of housing in the Israeli cabinet Binyamin Ben-Eliezer made the headlines in the public and party newspapers, the anti and pro government headlines.

The Egyptian Parliament had very hot sessions with requests of expelling the Israeli Ambassador ,cutting the relations and presenting Eliezer to the international Court of Justice , not that only for the first time some NDP members attacked the Israeli Ambassador in Cairo so bad that they described him as a monkey !!!

It started with a documentary shown on the Israeli Television first channel called "Rush Shaked" or "The Spirit of Shaked" where they showed some testimonies from soldiers and officers who worked under his command in "Shaked Battalion" in 1967 and as I understand from the reports as I didn't see the documentary yet as it was shown once on the Israeli TV 1 and till now it didn't find its way to the Internet yet "please if anyone has it , just tell me because I really need it",anyhow as I was saying that I understood from what was written in the reports in the media that this documentary showed testimonies and evidences that the Shaked Unit slaughtered 250 Egyptian POW from the commandos captured in the war

This is not the first time or the only time the talk about the crimes against the Egyptian POWs comes up to the surface to it ,really I mean we are dealing here with big file from both wars 1956 and 1967 , this was n't the only incident,in fact there were much worst incidents , believe me I am working on this topic for some time now

Today I will just clear some points , this thankfully will affect the Egyptian-Israeli relations ,already Eliezer was going to come to Egypt on next Thursday this week , yet minister of National Security "and also the man responsible of the Israel file" Omar Soliman asked him to postpone his visit to unknown time . The Foreign minister requested the Israeli Ambassador and clarifications from the Israeli government. Not that only off the record in Egypt but in the records in Israel in newspaper Maariv , they said that "Borhan Hamad" who is a general in the Egyptian intelligence and the head of the Egyptian Security delegation which is responsible of the Israeli captured Soldier if you remember him , anyhow General "Hamad" took a vacation for a whole week , well I don't know the general , but the man deserves a vacation ,he won't kill himself for the freaking international peace

Anyhow also off the record in Egypt but in the records in Israel there was some small crisis when the Egyptian Security authorities stopped an Israeli truck from entering Egypt , the truck is said to be have Radioactive materials, of course officially the Israelis needed these allegations too saying that these material were going to be used for improving the Embassy !!

Back to the POWs Scandal ,of course Eliezer denied the allegations saying that those who killed were Palestinian Fadyeens not Egyptian POWs , the claims of the minister of housing were supported by one of his ex-IDF soldiers and the director of the documentary himself

The Israeli foreign minister asked our foreign minister to calm the film furor , I don't how she expects him to do so , he won't push a button to make people forget , already as I said that was the main headline in the front pages in many newspapers

You know I am surprised from the timing ,especially in Israel , I mean I think this film was aired in some kind of an internal war, a political revenge from Eliezer yet they didn't expect the Egyptian reaction , in fact they expect in Israel as long as Mubarak or Soliman didn't comment on this directly to calm down after one week or something, I mean the documentary was shown again , the Israelis were clever enough till now to cover their crimes they won't announce publicly on the first channel if it were not for a good reason.

About Egypt , I think that the Egyptian government will use it to come closer to the Egyptian people , in fact they have to because if they don't the people will hate them more and more , why I do talk about this in Egypt well pardon me ,but the timing is killing me already this is not the first time the Shaked massacre to be talked about , if the Egyptian government had wanted to investigate this , well it should have done from a long time .

I mean it had been there since 1995 in Israel an interview with Aryeh Yitzhaki who exposed the crimes of the Shaked , it came after the terrifying confession of Ayre Biro about the crimes he and his battalion did it in 1956 in the same year , I tickled this in my 1956 series of posts

You can check it in wikipedia too from 1995 , it is interesting that now in 2007 people are acting as if they didn't know about it

Now in Egypt , this information was published in a book called "The Zionist Conspiracies on Egypt" in year 1999 by late Journalist and author "Jamil Araf" , it was published by the famous publishing house "The modern Egyptian Press", the ISBN of the book 997-209-041-9

Look the date , in this valuable book there is a whole chapter about the crimes against in the Egyptian POWs in both war 1956s and 1967, exactly chapter 17, this incident of "Shaked" was mentioned from page 242 to 244

Now can anyone tell me why from the year why our government didn't do anything whehter in 1995 or 1999 ?? Why we have to wait till they damage all the evidence ?? already the Egyptian foreign ministry requested the transcript of the documantry and I am sure 95% that they change the transcript already the director said that we said that they were palestinians not Egyptians and blamed the Egyptian media from twisting the truth

In the end I want to say something to the Israelis and Jewish people I think that as Holocaust survivors you will understand why it is important to us to punish those who killed our men with no right what so ever in the worst way , they are like the nazis to us
